After the success of the Tornado Nano and Tornado RDTA, Tornado 150 is iJoy’s latest sub-ohm tank in the Tornado line.

It is iJoy’s way of consolidating their presence in the tank market that focuses on a more affordable sub-ohm tanks with simple top filling system and functionality of RTA.

Tornado 150 is pre-installed with a 0.3ohm coil that can run up to 150W.The pre-installed coil itself acts as the chimney which improves the airflow, enhances the flavor and vapor production for a better vaping experience.

Tornado 150 comes with an RTA deck, a 0.25-ohm coil which can run from 40 to 80W, 510 thread drip tip, an extra glass and a delrin chuff top cap.

This sub-ohm tank has its looks similar to the SMOK Brit Beast tank. They are not identical but they feature the same type of drip tip, top filling system with two large fill ports and base section with adjustable airflow.

It is easy to use and maintain and is great for vapor and flavor chasers. Plus, the coils in the Tornado 150 can be rebuilt according to vapers preferences.

The e-juice can be refilled by simply twisting off the delrin top cap and pouring in the e-juice through the large filling port of the tank. After doing so, put the cap back on and let the e-juice be wicked for fifteen minutes then you’re good to go.

The refilling process is a breeze and involves no leaking, and that is a major pro.

The sub-ohm tank’s bottom has two large slots that provide an ample amount of airflow which is adjustable according to your liking. Simply rotate the metallic ring around the base of the Tornado 150 to adjust the airflow.

In replacing the coil, you must remove the base of the tank, as well as the top section since the coils screw to the both of them.

The RBA and the coil heads were patterned to function as chimneys for the tank. And this setup is somewhat inconvenient because you have to vape the tank empty or drain it before you can replace the RBA and the coil heads.

The coils, acting as a disposable chimney, make a hotter vape since its distance from your mouth was reduced. It also lessens the number of times you need to detail the narrow chimney for juice deposits.

I tested the Tornado 150 and attached it to my Aspire nx100. I used the pre-installed 0.3ohm coil, set it to 120W, just below the 150W output max.

As expected, the Tornado 150 wicked like a champ! It took me roughly 15 to 20 drags to have it completely emptied. Which is just fair for this type of tank considering its longevity.

I was impressed with its performance. The vapor was incredible and the flavor was just amazing. I must say that it is way better than Kanthal coils.

The only problem I see regarding the Tornado 150 coils is the spit-back I get after a few hours of not vaping, which needs more than a couple draws to be back to normal.

Final Verdict:

Overall, the quality of Tornado 150 is great, from it’s built to its vapor production and flavor. It is easy to use, no leaking whatsoever and refilling is trouble-free.

What makes it stand out is its RBA which is large enough to accommodate different coil sizes and its huge post holes, as well as its bottom airflow holes.

The quality and the performance are impressive even it doesn’t have a juice flow control.

I must say that the iJoy Tornado 150 can be considered as a standard tank starter kit that prides itself with high quality built and performance with a considerably budget-friendly price tag.
