Sigelei J150 is the new flagship box mod from Sigelei mod line up. It is capable of firing up to 150W and is equipped with temperature regulation feature and powered by dual internal rechargeable batteries. The box comes with the Micro USB cable for charging and upgrading, warrant cards, safety features and Silicone sleeve to protect the mod.

the J150 has a striking color scheme and only comes in Red and Black or Black and Red. Its body is made from Zinc Alloy and measures 25mm x 80mm x 60mm.

There is nothing much on the sides of the mod aside from the small logo of J150 and the small on and off switch on the lower part.

I find it weird to have an actual on and off switch for mods thinking it might get loose and accidentally turning it on in my pocket, but this one is pretty tight. However, I’m not sure how long it will retain its firmness.

At the top, you can only see the stainless steel 510 spring loaded contact, due to its size, this mod is compatible with 25mm atomizers or smaller.

The firing and control buttons are located at the front together with the OLED screen. The display screen will show you the wattage, battery indicator, voltage and the ohm reader.

Navigating the menu is easy to follow. You can refer to the manual that comes in the package.

The USB port is located right below the display screen, unlike the smaller version J80 where the charging port is located at the bottom.

A closer look at Sigelei J150’s features and performance. This box has an adjustable wattage control and can fire a maximum wattage of 150W. The resistance range is 0.1 – 3.0 ohms and temperature range from 20degrees – 570degrees Fahrenheit. The box is equipped with temperature control or TC mode which supports Ni200, Titanium and Stainless steel 316.

I am not a fan of changing modes on my mod, but it is a great option for other vapers since they can set the mod to their own preferences. But for me, I always wanted to vape in power mode or wattage mode.

The battery for this mod is a non-replaceable 2000mah battery. Non-replaceable batteries don’t really work for me. I tend to be more cautious on vaping my mod since there is no way of replacing the battery when the one installed had already depleted.

Test driving the Sigelei J150, I used my Griffin 25mm with twisted 28 gauge Kanthal, 11 wraps, reading at 0.67ohms.

I did this setup specifically for testing the high wattage of this mod and comparing it with the setup that I have with my Snowwolf 200w mod. This is due to the Sigelei 213 controversy of false advertising its maximum wattage of 213W and only fires 155W at max. I had to check if the Sigelei J150 really fires at the maximum wattage of 150W.

The Sigelei J150 at 120W power mode. It fires really good, the vapor was a bit warm and with superb taste and really dense clouds.

Now, comparing it with my Snowwolf with the same setup 120W power mode. It gives off almost the same amount of vapor and awesome taste. Now, we are clear on that issue, this J150 can really fire at high wattages. But I am not really vaping that high, I just did that to test if it can fire at maximum wattage.

Next was testing the performance of the battery for my regular vaping. I am using my Tsunami RDA with Clapton wires reading at 0.5 ohms and the mod at 75W power mode. I had it fully charged and vaped for 2 hours, the battery went down to 70%. After another hour of continues vaping, the battery was still in good shape around 60%. I must say, that the battery life was outstanding.

The only issue that I had with the battery was the charging time. It took almost 5 hours to fully replenish the power. I hope Sigelei can come up with a fast charger to save more time in charging this mod.

Altogether, I really like the overall design of this mod. The size is not too big and not too small. It is just the right size for an all-around mod. The battery life is exceptional. However, the charging time takes forever. There is nothing much to complain aside from the cons listed above, but those are pretty subjective cons and does not affect the overall performance of the device. I had no problem vaping this guy all day.

  • BATTERY LIFE. I did not have any problem vaping it at 75W for the entire day.
  • Artistically designed that combines simplicity and style quality. I don’t want fancy mods but I also don’t want the super plain mods like that of Noisy Cricket.

  • On/Off Switch on the side of the mod. As I said, right now it is tight and looks secured but in time, it may loosen up and accidentally vape on its own.
  • Charging time. This is a forgivable con since the battery life is great, but still 6 hours of charging time is annoying.
